We believe this is a Pedigree Funtime Sindy dating from the 70s, as her markings suggest. Please look at the photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions! She is in good condition considering her age and includes a vintage 1976 Funtime Sindy Outfit. This comprises of a very simple but pretty cotton shift dress in a coffee colour, decorated with a dainty pattern of little two-tone flowers with lace sleeves. It is in good condition considering its age with the sewn-on metal snap fastener still intact. Also included is a pair of brown tassel shoes and a matching homemade felt clutch bag with a button on it.
This pretty doll has the markings 033055X on the back of her head and no markings on her body. She has a hard head and a basic body with a twist waist and bendable legs. She is 28 cm tall.
Please note Sindy has 'Sindy' written on her back, a pinprick hole on the insides of both thighs, some paint loss to her eyes/eyebrows/bottom lip and some light surface scratches/marks. But this doesn't detract from this nice vintage doll in any way. Sindy's knees click, bend and hold twice on one leg and the other clicks/bends twice and holds once. Her waist, arm and neck joints are good with slightly loose legs. Her feet have nibbles/chew marks (one more than the other) and her fingers have little line marks on them, but they are the same on both hands so maybe normal.
Sindy's beautiful short, ash blonde hair is shiny and has a middle parting with some thinning hair plugs. She has a hard, solid head with a sweet face and rooted eyelashes, which are long and thick. Her make-up appears to be blush-free, with peach natural lips. The paint loss to her face could maybe be restored but we'd prefer to leave it to someone who has the skill to do this. Sindy is a lovely doll, displays nicely and is a must for any Sindy Collector.
