This is a Pedigree Sindy, but we're not quite sure which type. Her markings suggest she dates from 1983-1985. Please look at the photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions! She is in good condition considering her age and includes a vintage 1979 Keep Fit Outfit, which is also in good condition considering its age and looks to be complete, as seen in the photos. It includes a 2-piece yellow/navy tracksuit and a pair of yellow trainers (which have wear to the back).
This pretty doll has the markings Sindy logo on a raised rectangle partly hidden in her hair, "033055X" beneath that, on her head and no markings on her body. She has a soft head and a basic body with a twist waist and bendable legs. She is 28 cm tall.
Please note Sindy has a hole in one knee (where the whiteness is showing though with the rod? broken, so it no longer bends), pinprick holes on the inside of both thighs, a little wear to the rubber at the tops on both legs and some light surface scratches/marks. But this doesn't detract from this nice vintage doll in any way. Sindy's knees click, bend and hold twice on one leg and the other one doesn't click, bend or hold. Her waist, leg, arm and neck joints are good. Her hands and feet are free of nibbles/chew marks.
Sindy's long, shiny blonde hair has a middle parting and has a few missing hair plugs near the front at one side, but this is hidden with her hairstyle. It has been tied into a low ponytail with an elastic band and ribbon (not original, but match the outfit). She has a soft head with a sweet face and rooted eyelashes which are a little short in places, but could maybe be teased through. Her make-up is still high-colour, with red lips and a hint of blusher. Sindy is a lovely doll, displays nicely and is a must for any Sindy Collector.
